On Saturday I was able to take advantage of the Omaha Federation of Advertising’s event for the latest release of the Pirates of the Caribbean “At World’s End” movie. (Special thanks to Mike and Bob over at Skar for the ticket :) )
At the end of the last movie Johnny Depp a.k.a Captain Jack Sparrow had bought a one-way ticket to Davy Jone’s Locker when he went down with his ship at the end of “Dead Man’s Chest”. In the new movie it takes a great while for Jack to appear, but it’s well worth the wait. The movie has a variety of action packed twists and turns. I would say that the plot and story line are a bit weak overall, but dispite this you do end up being surprised at the end.
If you’ve seen the first two I would recommend watching the third; it’s worth it. If you haven’t seen number one or two I would say you could hold out until the DVD comes out. This summer movie season is promising to say the least, but this will probably end up being one of the more “luke warm” movies when it’s all said and done.
