Weekends in Mead, Nebraska

Welsh Villa

Welsh Villa

I’m not really your typical person, but I do have a routine I usually follow on the weekends. Get up, make breakfast, have a shower, get dressed, watch cartoons / work on projects, drink some warm and caffeine rich brown water, make lunch and then head to Mead to work on the house or visit the folks… usually both. This weekend was pretty much the same, but I did end up doing more work on the house than usual. It was nice outside and the yard needed some repairs… last weeks wind storm weekend some of the branches on the dying tree in the front yard…. Brittle and large… the branches fell. No damage… but it’s worth noting that the tree in question has friends that are in need of some trimming as well.

Good stuff through and through… even the little one helped with picking up some sticks and such. My cousin ventured over on Sunday to assist with finishing up the job. After a year + it is nice to see that the house is looking good and continues to be better. Next weekend I think we’ll finish up the 1-bedroom upstairs and have it ready to be rented out. Should be interesting… we’re ok at being landlords, but not the greatest yet. A lot to learn in all reality, but I think we’ve done good thus far….

If any one knows someone who’s looking to rent in the Saunders county area we’ll have a one-bedroom available at the beginning of May. 850 square feet @ $350.00 per month + utilities and garbage pick-up. 402-677-6241. I’ll put some photos up once we have it ready. :).
